Wk3 - Defining a Target Market

The target market is the group or groups of people a business is focused on to offer its services or products. There can be a cost for marketing in order to reach these consumers, based on their age, gender, location, lifestyle, and shopping habits. I will be looking for the ideal customer to buy your product or service.

Monat Global-https://monatglobal.com/
Monat primarily targets women in their 20s to late 40s, who are interested in clean beauty, women who are moms, young professionals, and people who look to make a side income from home. They share a product education around the hair and skin line, with before and after results, and positive reviews on products. Their social media on Instagram has a great ambiance, focused on community, personal development, and lots of success stories from product results and brand affiliates. Monat is quite effective; their content feels aspirational, and they try to sell you a lifestyle that you will want, not just products. Their profile builds trust with their audience.

Mary Kay focuses on women in their late 20s to 60 years old, who are interested in beauty and business growth. They appeal to women who want to start their own business with mentorship, remarking on their years in the market as an original multilevel business. On social media, they shared a happy ambiance, sharing beauty tutorials, inspirational quotes, new products, and stories about their consultants. Their website doesn't say much until you register, but their Instagram has great content, making it enjoyable to look at. I think they are effective because their branding is trustworthy. After all, it has been well established and is more traditional, which is used to target its perfect audience.

Sephora targets all ages, but their focus is on ages 18-late 30s, younger girls and women who are in beauty trends and high-end products. They reach out to men and women, are inclusive of products, and offer a variety when it comes to skin tones and beauty needs. Sephora's social media is about trends, trendy tutorials, aesthetic pictures,  and modern visuals, such as colors and shapes; they are always innovating. They are very effective, their marketing understands the fast pace of the beauty industry, they stay on trends with their influencers, who are the biggest marketers.

Week1: My Blog Theme

Hi I'm Claudia(Clau), and this is my first blog for CSIT 155 this fall of 2025.       I choose this notable pink as my blog theme, it started just as I was scrolling over the theme page and almost at the bottom, the pink caught my attention. I did see one or two other themes that I can related to, but this was the one for many reasons. I saw the bright pink color at the top and the pink titles with black body paragraphs and it just looked perfect. This made me feel interested in reading it, because it look organized easy to read and not long, which is what I would like to transmit to others when reading it. The details are perfect and in great balance of color, not all pink in fact has a black color and white color which creates a balance.       The color of pink has always resonated with myself, the color itself is a bright and certainly it's not easily mistaken for another color. The color pink makes you feel a sense of happi...

Week Five- FaceBook Page

FaceBook Page     Setting up this new Facebook page, yes, it was a little bit challenging. I remember I did this already, but it has been a few years, and now it looked different; it had fewer steps,I still had to follow the directions, and did as it said. No, I didn't have to set up a personal page; I just went on my personal profile and created a new page. I'm excited to learn more to use this page for my influencer business.

Week Five- Research and Post

Facebook Research      These businesses, I think they are mostly on personal branding; they are using it to share their lifestyle, products, and services. They also use Facebook to work with brands and to monetize by uploading content every day and multiple times a day.  I think they are doing great, they have from thousands to millions of followers, this makes me think they are doing it right, they have changed their lives and achieved goals by using their Facebook. It's of course personal preference, not all content, I can agree to some of it creates controversy, which is not quite inspirational for me.  I've been following this account, and they can post anything from 3 to 20 times a day, with a variety of stories, reels, posts of photos, or even going live. They are very active and stay on top of the stories list.  Most of them have a very clean cover photo, feel welcome to a family or to them, this creates trust in my point of view, and yes, they have ...
